Sketching as a Thinking Tool in Design Development

Sketching is not just a presentation tool — it’s a thinking process. It helps me explore ideas quickly, make mistakes fast, and refine concepts visually. Hand sketches allow for fluid experimentation, especially in the early stages when form and function are still evolving. In both architectural and product design, I use sketching to communicate proportions, structures, and movement before jumping into digital models. It serves as a bridge between abstract thinking and tangible design, helping me analyze problems and test variations on paper before committing to final directions.
